“That’s not a hard putt [or shot].” (Or suggests it’s easy.)
If I weren’t working, I’d be nursing a hangover already. Please play and let me know how it turns out.
Good morning, America! For those of you who haven’t been up since 2am EST — yes, I’m going to be jetlagged by the time the Ryder Cup is over — team USA is wearing those atrocious lavender cardigans, which is causing the utmost confusion to those who thought our colors were red, white and blue. Anyway, it’s already been a marathon with the US surprisingly taking the early lead after the first session. Oh, and Jeff Overton was pretty much the hero. The so-called strongest American pair of Phil Mickelson and Dustin Johnson is working out painfully poor.
So far, I’ve written about the weather bailing out NBC’s coverage blunder (we get to see live golf instead of tape delay!), a first session round-up, Rickie Fowler’s rookie rules blunder, and the Brothers Molinari struggling early in foursomes (which I jinxed).
More to come! Woohoo. U-S-A, U-S-A!
