Nice spot by Reader Mark to catch this photo of Tiger Woods practicing with a Nike putter on Tuesday.
As you may recall, at the British Open in July, Tiger switched from the Scotty Cameron Newport putter, the same one he used to win 13 of his 14 major championships, to a Nike Method putter. His reasoning was that the greens were slow and the ball came off the Nike putter faster. But then in the final round of the Open, he switched back to Scotty and used it for the rest of the season.
Now it appears this Nike putter isn’t the same as the one he used at the Open, the Nike Method 001. If I had to guess, it’s the Nike Method 003.
Why the change? Probably something about slow greens again. Someone in Wales get to the bottom of this, please!
