Long day. And it’s not over yet. Via the WSJ:
The start of the opening round at the PGA Championship was delayed three hours and 10 minutes due to heavy fog. On a day that seemed never-ending, at least one question, which happened to also be the most intriguing, was settled early. What were we going to see from Tiger Woods? I’m exhausted and noticed a few times I think I mistyped. I’m loving the leaderboard, too. (Maybe it has something to do with Matt Kuchar and Ernie Els both being on my fantasy team.) It’s not Tiger and Phil, but it’s more eclectic with a range of big names, interesting characters, seasoned veterans to the younger set. Now it’s kind of hard to assess things yet because the first round isn’t even complete.
Play resumes at 7AM on Friday. At least it’s supposed to. Fingers crossed the forecast for fog is wrong.
