And here’s the press release:
Sean Foley addressed reports Thursday that he was rumoured to be working with Tiger Woods.
“I have not talked to Tiger about coaching in any form whatsoever,” Foley said.
Foley is coach to PGA Tour players Stephen Ames, Hunter Mahan, Parker McLachlin, Sean O’Hair, Greg Owen, and Justin Rose.
Foley is also PGA Tour Coach at the Core Golf Junior Academy in Orlando, Florida, which provides intensive instruction, coaching and private education for young golfers.
Nike Golf Canada is the official sponsor of the Core Golf Academy and supplies apparel, equipment, balls and footwear to Core Golf Academy instructors and to Core Golf Junior Academy students.
Well, he didn’t say, “No.” Foley also told The Globe and Mail, “Who knows what will happen? I’d like to work with Tiger if I got a chance, sure. Is there an interest? Absolutely there is. But again, there’s been no discussion at all at this point.”
Then he said the chatter was “pretty stupid” and many other things.
How about that Nike connection? And Foley is represented by the same management company, IMG, as Tiger. Like I said initially, it was just a rumor.
For now, anyway.
