When Tiger walks onto Augusta National for The Masters in a few weeks, his golf bag will have a new look.
As you may recall, AT&T dropped one of its most active texters on New Year’s Eve. Along with sponsoring the tournament Tiger hosted, the AT&T National, the company’s logo was plastered across his bag. Instead of seeking a corporate sponsor to replace the open real estate, Tiger will use his Nike brand.
In a text message (how appropriate!) to the AP, agent Mark Steinberg said, “We are not actively pursuing new business partnerships at this point in time.”
Well, that makes sense. Given all that’s materialized, I would think it might be difficult to find a new one that would be seemly. But I’ve heard…never mind.
