Not even the President can avoid being asked Tiger-related questions. In an interview with People magazine that hits stands on Friday, Obama said he “absolutely” thinks Tiger can restore his personal life post sex scandal. Also:
I’m a strong believer that anybody can look within themselves, find their flaws and fix them. I’m sure he feels terrible about what happened, and I suspect that he will try to put his life back together again.
Is that change we can believe in? As an optimist, I sure hope so. Then again, I believe in leprechauns and world peace, too.
And of course, the first step to rehabilitating himself is seeking proper care. Which is why the latest reports make perfect sense — apparently “the love-rat golfer” is receiving treatment for sex addiction in South Africa, says unnamed sources. Or is it Arizona? I really can’t keep track these days. But I also can’t imagine Tiger pouring his heart out about his alleged sexual compulsions or prescription drug addictions to some strangers in group therapy — now that would just be too adorable.
