Speaking with reporters via conference call on Friday, Nicklaus said, “If Tiger is going to pass my record, this is a big year for him.”
Many have pointed out that while he’s on his indefinite leave from golf, this year’s major rotation sets up perfectly for him. In his 14 major titles, seven of them came at Augusta, Pebble Beach and St. Andrews.
So, when will he stage his “comeback” from his “indefinite break” from golf?
Former coach Butch Harmon thinks Tiger will be back in March because “Pebble Beach and St. Andrews are two of his favorite places.”
With the recent shocking revelations surrounding Tiger’s double-life, it’s clear we knew very little about him. But one thing we do know for certain — he wants to win majors and break Nicklaus’ record.
