Just when I thought the Tiger Woods melodrama couldn’t get any more dramatic or strange — WESH Orlando is reporting that firefighters responded to a medical emergency at Tiger Woods’ Isleworth mansion at 2:36AM EST Tuesday morning:
A radio log showed an adult woman was transported to Health Central Hospital in Ocoee. The log also showed the patient initially refused transport, but was later listed as an advanced life support patient.
Video from the hospital showed a middle-age woman being removed from an ambulance on a stretcher and taken through an emergency entrance.
Health Central is the same hospital where Woods was taken after his crash on Nov. 27.
A black Cadillac Escalade was seen leaving the hospital shortly after the ambulance arrived there. The tag on the Escalade was similar to the one involved in Woods’ crash.
The video (watch here) shows a woman with blonde hair in the stretcher. Is it Elin Nordegren Woods (despite Monday’s reports that she moved out)?? But according to Fox News, a witness saw a “nice-looking blonde woman” who looked similar to Elin, driving an SUV that showed up to the hospital minutes after the ambulance.
Advanced life support + refusing transport = Possible OD? Suicide attempt? I’ll stop there before I irresponsibly speculate further. But two things: 1) I hope the patient (whoever she may be) is OK; and 2) WTF?!?
*Update (7:32AM): TMZ claims, “a person from County Fire tells TMZ the responding address does not sync up with Tiger’s home, suggesting it’s a neighbor.”
*Update (7:45AM): Supposedly it’s been confirmed that the 911 call did come from Tiger’s address, but details still remain sparse.
*Update (9:03AM): Elin was seen leaving the hospital on Tuesday morning. So, maybe the mystery woman is her mother who is reportedly in town? Someone get Tiger’s handlers out of bed and issue a statement before the speculation gets out of hand, and once again, “unfounded and malicious rumors” that are completely untrue begin to circulate. Please.
*Update (11:10AM): It was Elin’s mother, Barbro Holmberg, who was rushed to the hospital after complaining of stomach pains. She’s still in the hospital, but reportedly in stable condition. Once again, good job, local news channels — you were scooped and corrected by TMZ.
