This video has gone viral on the Internet, but I can’t stop watching it.
While hosting potential investors at his new golf course design in Asheville, N.C., last week, Tiger Woods hit a few drives. After they ended up in the right trees (surprise!), he challenged the crowd to give it their best shot (scary).
He called middle-schooler Mark Benevento, Jr., to the tee. The kid smoked a drive 200 yards, splitting the fairway. A bemused Tiger said, “Wow. Do that again. We’ve got to see that again.”
And he did (!).
“How old are you? 12? Twelve years old…That’s pretty cool.”
But, really, how impressed could Tiger have been? He was bombing it 200 yards when he was, like, 2, and in front of millions on live television.
Ironically, Mike Douglas asked Tiger the same question: “How old are you, Tiger? 2…?”
Now whose performance were you more impressed with? Mark gets my vote.
