According to a source, Trevor Immelman, the ‘08 Masters Champion, was grappling with his game and struggled with regaining his confidence over the past 18 months. To make matters worse, since February he has been plagued with a wrist injury. He was forced to withdraw from three of the four major championships — US Open, British Open and PGA Championship — and only played in 13 PGA Tour events.
But the source reported Immelman’s wrist has apparently healed and he’s in good spirits. He has been fine-tuning his swing, specifically working on his release, with David Leadbetter to prepare for next week’s European Tour tournament in Scotland.
Here’s hoping he stays healthy and gets back on track.
