Support the Troops & Their Families by Being a Weekend Warrior This Labor Day
By Stephanie Wei under General

Here’s a friendly public announcement via Morning Glass:

Across the nation this Labor Day weekend, thousands of golf courses are charging an extra $1 for tee times in support of Patriot Golf Day, the flagship fundraiser for the Folds of Honor Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides postsecondary educational scholarships for the children and spouses of military men and women disabled or killed while serving in the military.

So whether you are a country club Tiger Woods or simply a weekend hacker, if you find yourself with nothing to do this last big weekend of the summer, go play 9 or 18 holes and know that you are giving to a great cause.

Co-signed. Enjoy the weekend, play some golf, donate $1 — or $5 if you’re feeling generous — and guzzle a few dozen beers. (If you aren’t a golfer, you can make a contribution here.)

As for me, I’m heading up to Norton, MA, to watch the Deutsche Bank Championship with this wonderful, deranged blogger. Wish me luck.
