The story of Tiger’s day — club throw, F-bomb, repeat. And that picture was taken only on the 5th hole. Bring on the complaints from a viewer near you!

After 36 holes of the PGA Championship, we didn’t think the field had a chance. I mean, the odds were overwhelmingly in favor of a Tiger win — it was the 9th time in his career that he was leading in a major going into the weekend…and he won the previous 8. So, we were ready to hand him the Wanamaker trophy.

With two holes left to play, he’s one-under for the day and 8-under for the tournament. His four shot lead has dwindled down to just one. Through 17, Padraig is 7-under and Y.E. Yang is your leader in the clubhouse at 6-under.

Will we get to see Tiger and Paddy “battle” for the second Sunday in a row — sooner than we thought? (Fingers crossed.) If so, hopefully it’ll be a more climactic finish than last week (read: a rules official won’t put them on the clock on the 16th tee).

Get excited and stay tuned.

UPDATE: Tiger finished at 8-under. Paddy bogeyed the last hole to drop to 6-under and tied with Y.E. Yang for second. So, Yang and Tiger will play in the final group together. Henrik Stenson and ‘09 U.S. Open Champion Lucas Glover (one of the most boring guys to watch) are T4 at 4-under. It’s doubtful either of them will make up enough strokes to be in serious contention. Can Yang pull off the incredible? Probably not. In my opinion, the only guy who has any sort of a chance is Paddy — he’s a good putter and has been in this position before. Tiger is 14 for 14 when he has led going into the final round of a major. Scary.

*Aside: Apparently Shane Bacon and I think alike. He posted the SAME picture (earlier, I guess).
