Mark Calcavecchia: Exacerbating the stereotype of golfers one birdie at a time.

I kid, I kid. (Well, sort of.) Calc broke a PGA Tour record today, carding 9 straight birdies, in the second round of the soggy RBC Canadian Open. The 49-year-old finished with a 7-under-par 65 and is currently T17. Here’s a cool aside: his son was looping for him!

Calc, thanks for disproving my argument about pro golfers being in shape. Well, I did say “most”…

Jason Dufner (I wonder if people ever make jokes about his last name) leads by one stroke at 13-under-par. Stormy weather has plagued the tourney and they’ve only completed two rounds going into Sunday.

So what’s the deal with rain delays and old dudes breaking records this season?? Trend alert!
