Tiger Woods hitting balls at the driving range after his practice round on Tuesday.
His swing was looking good – no, more like really good. I showed up at Bethpage right as he was hitting his approach shot from the 18th fairway to the green. After a hop, skip and a jump, the ball hit the flagstick. Pretty standard. Nothing we haven’t seen him do a gagillion times, right? He went on to drain his 8-10 foot putt for birdie.
The gallery went absolutely wild. Wait, I thought it was Tuesday? Oh it was. OK, I’m not going to lie, it was exciting. Afterwards, I watched him hit balls, along with basically everyone else on the premises. It makes it easy if you ever want to find Tiger’s group – look for the stampede.
I’m just going to throw it out there and say TW will have won consecutive U.S. Open titles by the time Sunday evening rolls around. The scariest and best part? His knee is healthy this year.
I decided to take a little gamble, so I picked someone else as my favorite to win. Stay tuned to find out who that is! OK, your thoughts? Drop ‘em below!!
