Meet The Hottest Rookie On The LPGA: Jeehae Lee

If you don’t know the name Jeehae Lee yet, you should. Back in December, the stunning Yale graduate qualified for the LPGA Tour on her first attempt, which is no easy feat (and finished T12th, no less)!

Last week, in a very competitive field, Jeehae placed T57th, along with teen phenom Michelle Wie, at the J Golf Phoenix LPGA International. Not bad for just her third start. I would look out for her to play well and continue moving up the leaderboard over the course of the tournament season.

What makes Jeehae stand out is that she’s not just the LPGA’s next best player, but she’s incredibly intelligent and beautiful. Attention sponsors: if you haven’t noticed already, you should get on that!

I’m going to shamelessly name-drop. Jeehae and I were teammates on the Yale Women’s Golf Team. As most competitive golfers know, the Ivy League isn’t exactly breeding grounds for future LPGA players.

That’s what makes Jeehae’s story particularly inspiring. It took great audacity for her to follow her dream and embark on the journey to the pro circuit.  There’s no doubt her success is a direct result of not only talent, but hard work, discipline and perseverence as well.  Jeehae is surely living the dream and she deserves every moment of it.
